Charlotte Aucella is a performing artist and choreographer based in New York City. Her interdisciplinary practice explores character expression through form in body, movement, and posture, aiming to recreate the emotional and physical conditions of absurdity. She received formal training in concert dance with a specialty in Cunningham, Graham, and Limón techniques and other modern dance styles. Under the direction of Nelly Van Bommel, she earned her B.F.A in Dance Performance from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College in 2023. Charlotte’s choreography has been commissioned and presented by the String Orchestra of New York City, American Dance Guild, and the Queens New Music Festival. Charlotte was selected for the DIG Choreographic Residency through Green Space in Fall 2025.

She most recently appeared in the Dance Theater Production of  Scarecrow produced and choreographed by Mark Bankin, where she held a soloist role. Her concert dance repertoire spans works by Merce Cunningham, Bill T. Jones, George Balanchine, and Netta Yerushalmy. She has performed at venues including The Tank Theater, West Beth, Arts on Site, and Lehman College.
